Even after 2 decides of supporting people, I'm even more inspired by those that seek support. I sincerely believe in the likelihood of improving.
Where an atmosphere of non-judgement exists, lies comfort for one to explore themselves. Mindfulness-based, CBT best describes my style. I value open-mindedness and also feel it is important to address how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Training and education in Community Mental Health from Wilmington University launched a two decade long mission for me to explore the field of psychology and help others to optimize the quality of their life.
I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner who has worked across outpatient psychiatry, private practice, and long-term care. That range has shaped how I approach mental health: I believe every person's situation is unique, and I don't come in with a preset agenda. You can expect honesty, transparency, and a genuine commitment to understanding what you need. I'm building this practice on integrity, and my goal is to make sure you always know what's happening with your care and why.
I have my Masters in Psychology from New York University and am Nationally Board Certified as a counselor. Currently taking clients in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware.
I have experience with a diverse population of clients, and extensive experience working with emerging adults (18-25), couples, families and adults of all ages and backgrounds. In addition, I also have experience with creative professionals in music/art fields, working with Backline Care.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes mental health care should feel a lot more human and a lot less like being talked at for 15 minutes and handed a prescription. My background includes emergency, critical care, and procedural nursing, so I’m naturally curious about the whole picture—not just a diagnosis on a chart.
I especially enjoy working with women dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, PMDD, burnout, and the emotional chaos that can come with perimenopause and other major life transitions. My approach is evidence-based, hormone-informed, collaborative, and very much “you stay in the driver’s seat.”
I’m not interested in throwing medications at symptoms and hoping something sticks. I want to understand what’s going on in your brain, your body, and your actual life so we can build a treatment plan that makes sense for you. Expect questions, education, honesty, a little humor when appropriate, and a provider who genuinely wants you to feel heard instead of dismissed.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and feeling truly heard. It is when people feel truly heard that true healing begins. My name is Kris and I want my clients to know that you don't have to have everything figured out before you start therapy. I strive to create a safe space where you don't have to navigate feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or major life changes alone. I have been in the Social Work field for over 30 years, with a primary focus in therapy for the last seven years. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters in Social Work. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotional Focused Therapy and relationship-focused interventions, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual client and their goals.
