Kimberly Ross is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong foundation in critical care, advanced practice nursing, and whole-person wellness. As a Registered Nurse in a Regional Trauma Center Intensive Care Unit, Kimberly Ross has developed extensive experience caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments, bringing clinical excellence, compassion, and a deep commitment to healing.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of The University of Mississippi, Kimberly Ross earned a master’s degree from The University of Memphis and has been recognized as an outstanding nursing leader by the Mississippi Nurses Association. As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my goal is to provide compassionate, individualized, and judgement-free mental health care. With over 12+ years of health care experience, I bring a diverse professional background that began working with children with special needs, serving as a Hospital Corpsman during the war of Afghanistan, providing care inpatient and outpatient settings with positions as a patient advocate, inpatient care in eating recovery centers, and over five years working in correctional healthcare. In addition, I have volunteered my time by providing services to special populations: homelessness, human trafficking, and supporting disabled veterans and first responders.

Welcome! I am a multi-state counselor (TX, CO, OR - LPC, CA - LPCC) with over 15 years of experience in mental health and recovery-oriented care. At my practice, The Person Center, PLLC, I specialize in supporting high-functioning adults who may look successful on the outside, but internally feel exhausted by chronic stress, anxiety, relational patterns, or burnout. I focus on serving introspective achievers, caretakers, and professionals who are stuck in a cycle of overthinking, "buzzing" anxiety, or sudden emotional shutdown. My goal is to help you step out of chronic survival mode and into genuine, lasting peace.

I’m dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor and have worked in outpatient, inpatient, school-based, crisis, forensic, and co-occurring treatment settings. That experience has taught me to look beyond symptoms, understand the bigger picture, and tailor therapy to the person in front of me.

Bruised Not Broken Therapy was born out of the lack of Afrocentric based psychotherapy that allowed people of color to embrace their journey of life through the context of color. HIV, substance abuse, mental health and the denial of the experience of being a person of color continues to plague communities of color, as we still have yet to talk about these experiences.
