I graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to complete my master’s degree in in mental health counseling at Arizona State University. In 2017, I received my Ph.D. in counselor education from the University of Central Florida

I have acquired over 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, adolescents, and families through life's challenges. I have helped professionals and caregivers, through life's challenges, burn out, and the discovery of self-care. I have worked in education, research, correctional system, hospitals, and private practice.

As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner I share my interests with clients I see.

When I was working full-time as a Family Nurse Practitioner I saw an unmet need in clients finding a balance in their physical and mental health. I decided to return to school to strengthen my knowledge in psychiatric mental health care.

For the past five years my focus has included seeing clients with substance dependence, MAT treatment, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I especially enjoy the 1:1 experience via telehealth seeing clients in the comforts of their own home.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Walden University, with a concentration in trauma-informed care. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), as well as certified in Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sandplay Therapy. My early career centered on supporting children and families navigating trauma, substance use, and instability, as well as individuals transitioning from incarceration and reintegrating into their communities. These experiences continue to shape my person-centered, integrative approach to care.

In my practice, I support adults and children through an individualized, holistic lens. My therapeutic philosophy draws from Person-Centered, Holistic, and Psychodynamic therapies—approaches that value empathy, self-awareness, and exploration of the connections between past and present. I believe all people have an innate capacity for growth, resilience, and healing when they are met with safety, compassion, and curiosity.

Prior to starting Phoenix Minds, I was a Nurse Practitioner at Heartland Physicians, worked inpatient, outpatient setting@ Woodland Springs Hospital, Westpark springs behavioral Hospital, Consulted for Encompass health in Woodlands& vision park.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Arlington, and Master of Science in Nursing immediately after. Board certified by ANCC and have 19 years of Nursing experience.
