I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. I’ve worked extensively with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and military and Veteran-related concerns, as well as a wide range of life challenges. These include relationship and family conflict, parenting stress, career transitions and workplace challenges, financial stress, grief and loss, identity and self-esteem concerns, major life changes, caregiving stress, burnout, and adjusting to new roles or stages of life such as pregnancy, postpartum, or empty nesting. With all that is going on in the world and our community right now, you’ve likely been carrying a lot for a long time. You learned how to get through overwhelming experiences, and on the outside you seem strong...but inside, you feel tired and disconnected. You might not be in crisis, but you know you’re not fully at peace, either. Maybe you want to feel grounded again, or to understand yourself more deeply, or to reconnect with the parts of you that had to go quiet in order to cope. You’re ready for a slower, steadier kind of healing, and a therapist that feels safe and honors your pace.

I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and warmly welcome clients from diverse backgrounds.
I am a clinical social worker/psychotherapist with 15 years of experience working in various mental healthcare settings. My post graduate training has primarily focused in the areas of trauma (developmental as well as medical) as well as perinatal mental health.
I am an immigrant from Honduras, a wife, and a mother of two teenage daughters. My personal experiences shape my understanding of culture, family dynamics, and life transitions, allowing me to connect with clients in a meaningful and compassionate way.
My clinical experience includes a broad range of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, medical issues and chronic pain, existential issues around death and dying, as well as working with neurodivergent individuals. I enjoy working with young adults all the way through to those dealing with ageing issues.
I provide an open space to talk about any issue on your mind. Together, we probe deeper into patterns that affect your life and find ways to overcome those obstacles to your goals. I've worked in a variety of settings as a social worker and seen all manner of struggles and lives. I strive to understand your experiences and form a partnership on your healing journey.
This wild, painful, beautiful human experience can be a lot to process on our own, and it can be empowering to sort it out with a compassionate mental health professional who can be a support throughout your emotional growth. I am committed to showing up with empathy and gentle curiosity in collaboration with my clients. I am licensed in and seeing clients in Colorado and Rhode Island.
I have a passion for working with visual artists, writers, poets, musicians, and designers. I am an artist who believes that creative expression can be a way to engage the healing process and help us make meaning in this tumultuous world. I love working with artists and creatives, but you do not need to identify as an artist or creative to collaborate in therapy with me. We all hold the potential for creative healing engagement with ourselves, in relationships, and in the world. I welcome the opportunity to work with clients of all backgrounds and identities.
I received my MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, my MFA in Visual Art from Rutgers University, and my BFA in Visual Studies from Iowa State University. Before I became a counselor I spent fifteen years teaching studio art and cultural studies courses at colleges and universities across the United States. As an artist, writer, former academic, and mental health counselor, I have dedicated my life to creating connection and depth in relationships.
