I love working with a diversity of clients, from young adults to senior adults. People enter therapy for a variety of reasons; usually, a common factor is that they want some kind of growth, change, or relief from emotional pain. I enjoy working with clients who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process with as much commitment and honesty as they can. From there, we can clarify goals, glean important information from our own therapeutic relationship, and enjoy this deeply human process of questioning and relating with each other.
I specialize in helping people become more self-aware. Through time, we look at your habitual patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Then, we can treasure and build on the ones that are successful and full of vitality, and we can consider alternatives to ones that are creating impasses in your life.
I know that so much growth can occur in therapy. I'm also committed to helping you transfer your insights and growth to your own life as you live it outside of therapy. As a person, I am "in process" as well - experimenting with how to live and love fully!
