Reaching out for mental health care can be hard, especially if you have felt dismissed, rushed, or misunderstood in the past. I want you to know that I take a different approach. I believe people do best when they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

I work with adolescents age 13 and up, as well as adults, and I enjoy helping people make sense of what they are going through in a way that feels supportive and practical. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, stress, or just feeling unlike yourself, my goal is to create a space where you can speak openly and feel comfortable being honest about what is really going on.

I see mental health care as a partnership. You are the expert on your experience, and I bring clinical knowledge to help guide the process. Together, we work toward a plan that feels realistic, thoughtful, and aligned with your goals.

I'm so glad you're here.

Women wear many hats: we are partners, mothers, daughters, friends, confidantes, professionals, and more. The expectations we place on ourselves while navigating these unique roles can lead to overwhelm, exhaustion, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and a loss of sense of self. I help clients find balance among their different parts while discovering new ways of advocating for themselves and creating a life in which they are no longer just surviving, but thriving.

As a dually certified provider, I offer a unique blend of clinical precision and compassionate, holistic care for both the body and soul. My journey began in 1995 as a nurse, followed by earning my medical degree in 2002 and completing a residency in General Pathology in Postgraduate Education Academy, Kharkov, Ukraine, which provided me with a profound understanding of the biological foundations of health. In 2006, I met my future husband and moved to the United States.

In the United States, I advanced my nursing career, working as a Registered Nurse and becoming a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2019. During this time, I managed complex primary care and detoxification protocols for adults and adolescents in behavioral health inpatient settings. In 2024, I achieved my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

I'm glad you're here! I work with clients from young adulthood-late adulthood moving through big shifts: a major life change, the loss of someone or something that mattered, or a relationship that's grown painful or unclear. These life events tend to scramble your footing and stability. Much of what I do is help you shake off limiting beliefs and feelings to regain your footing.

Therapeutic Approach: Reflective · Collaborative · Unhurried. We move at a pace that lets real understanding take hold, and I treat you as the expert on your own life. My job is to think alongside you.

What clients often feel before we start: People usually come to me when they've been managing something for a while and the managing has stopped working.

What drew me to this work: I'm drawn to the idea that healing and growth are already in clients, often blocked by experiences that never got fully processed. A lot of my work uses EMDR, which rests on that same premise: given the right conditions and support, the mind moves toward adaptation and resolution on its own. Before we go anywhere difficult, we build the footing for it with a few reliable tools and a sense that you can stay grounded even when hard material surfaces. Watching someone reach the point where a memory or a pattern finally loosens its grip, is why I enjoy this work.

My biggest strength is discernment and attunement: I listen closely to the patterns under the surface. I'll help you slow things down enough to see what's actually driving the moment. Pacing is part of the work.

Outside the office: My family and time outdoors are what keep me steady and energized. I swim, I read, and I seek out places and people that reset me. That's the same grounding I bring into the room with you.

Find the right therapist for you

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Bellingham, WA

Finding therapists in Bellingham starts with knowing what kind of support you want. Some therapists focus on anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Others list training in approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy. As you compare Bellingham therapists, look for profiles that name the concerns you want to address and explain what sessions may look like.

In a smaller city like Bellingham, local therapist availability can vary by neighborhood, schedule, and specialty. You may find in-person therapy in areas such as Fairhaven, Downtown, or Cornwall Park, while virtual appointments can expand your options across Washington. It can help to compare appointment times, whether a therapist is accepting new clients, session format, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios before booking can also show how they communicate, what populations they support, and how they structure care.

Therapy in Bellingham can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand your expected out-of-pocket expense before you book. Headway helps you find therapists in Bellingham, WA who match your needs and offer in-person or virtual care, so you can review profiles, compare estimated costs, and book directly when you’re ready. You can also enter your insurance details to confirm what coverage is available for your plan in Bellingham.

1 Cost may vary based on your location, age, and insurance coverage.
