Hi, I’m Dr. Deneice, DNP, MBA, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC. I am a doctoral-prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and owner of Eden Total Care.

I provide concierge-style virtual psychiatric care for young-feeling adults at any age who are navigating anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, PMDD, ADHD, autism-related concerns, mood symptoms, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and diagnostic uncertainty.

My primary role is psychiatric evaluation and medication management. I also incorporate supportive therapy, life coaching, and holistic guidance when appropriate. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and properly treated — not rushed, dismissed, or reduced to a diagnosis.

He focuses on trauma recovery and offers consultation to government agencies and hospital regarding stress, anxiety, and mental health concerns.

I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 5 years, and I am also a board certified adult nurse practitioner for over 12 years. I began my nursing career graduating from university of MD with my bachelors, and then attended Johns Hopkins University for my masters. I decided to further my education by attending Brandman University to obtain my Doctorate and psychiatric mental health certification in 2018.

I'm a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. For the past 8 years, I’ve worked closely with individuals managing chronic pain and substance use disorders, providing integrated support that addresses both physical and mental health needs. I have experience working with people with dual diagnosis. I am a CSAC. I also have experience in private practice working with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar, self-esteem issues and relationships concerns. I am a strong ally for the LGBTQ+ community and truly enjoy working with this population. I truly believe that healthy boundaries, healthy coping skills and a positive mindset can change a person’s life for the better.

I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and a solution focused approach to help you reach your specific goals and start your path to healing. Melinda is a trauma informed, Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia, with the Virginia Board of Counseling. She is also the owner of Triumphant Coaching & Counseling, LLC. Melinda graduated from Hampton University in 1991 with a B.A. in Sociology. She served in the Navy for 12 years as a Human Resource Officer, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She acquired her master’s degree in human resource development in 2001, and she acquired her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Degree from Nyack College, Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in New York City in 2014.

I bring over 8 years of clinical experience, including 4 years in medical nursing and 4 years in mental health care across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings.I also served as a nurse in the U.S. military, where I cared for active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. I have been a counselor for more than 30 years. I remain passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and believe that genuine caring is an essential element to an effective counseling relationship. Over the years I have worked with clients with significant trauma and loss. I consider it a privilege to stand with another individual as he or she resolves great pain. I specialize in treating clients with trauma, relationship issues, and borderline personality disorder.
