Hi, my name is Haley, and I am a therapist who is passionate about creating a safer, affirming, supportive space for healing. I specialize in trauma-focused CBT, art therapy, and a human-centered, systems-based approach, always through an anti-racism and anti-oppression lens. I have experience working with kids, teens, and adults navigating complex trauma, abuse, LGBTQ+ identities, sexuality, sex work, and substance use recovery. Whether through talk therapy or creative approaches like art, I tailor sessions to what feels right for you. Healing is a journey, and I am here to walk alongside you.
I'm April — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked alongside people in some of the hardest chapters of their lives: crisis moments in emergency settings, school hallways with overwhelmed teenagers, and outpatient rooms where families were trying to figure out how to be in the same room again. That range of experience has shaped how I work. I know that anxiety looks different in a 15-year-old than it does in a 40-year-old. I know that couples who love each other can still feel like strangers. And I know that healing isn't linear — it takes time, trust, and the right support.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and marital concerns, family conflict, parenting challenges, life transitions, and emotional regulation. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. For clients who want it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling that weaves Christian beliefs and values into the therapeutic process — thoughtfully, ethically, and at your pace.
I'm a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. I specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD with a focus on individuals over 18 years old.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience in mental health and substance use services, and have a postgraduate Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. I work with adults, with a particular passion for supporting women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC individuals, as well as those navigating post-psychedelic integration.
Our therapeutic partnership begins with the understanding that you are a whole person — not a diagnosis, a symptom, or a set of circumstances. Together, we will explore how the intersections of identity, lived experience, trauma, mental health, and substance use shape your inner world and outer life across biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals across the lifespan. My approach is holistic, collaborative, and patient-centered. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. Together, we will explore your concerns, identify treatment goals, and develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and lifestyle.

Whether you are starting treatment for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I strive to provide care that is thoughtful, empowering, and results-oriented.
I offer convenient telehealth services, making it easier to access care from the comfort of your home. My goal is to support you in achieving stability, balance, and improved quality of life.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and am committed to culturally sensitive care.
I'm a clinical psychologist residing in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where I came to start my education in 1998 at Virginia Tech, and where I stayed to complete my graduate training at nearby Radford University. Since then, I've worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice, with a brief stint in neuropsychology along the way. I've also been an assistant professor at Radford and at Roanoke College. I think of myself as a generalist (meaning I like to work with a broad range of clients and issues), but have had the most experience with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and LGBTQ+ issues. When not practicing, I devote my time to family, dogs, video games, tabletop RPGs, cooking, and badly writing electronic music.
