Most of my clients start to feel better within a couple of sessions. Therapy can be short or long term and I will work with you on a plan that works best for you and your needs. Hi, I'm Ben, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, teens, and families. I have a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and currently working toward my Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist credential (CSAT). My focus areas are trauma, addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship or family conflict. I also do a lot of couples work using the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I've spent years running recovery groups, working in residential treatment, and building my own private practice. However you got here, I'd love to hear your story.
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to genuinely be yourself. I’m a down-to-earth and approachable therapist, and my goal is to create a space where you feel supported and understood without feeling judged. I also believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy—there is absolutely room for humor and being human.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals. I have extensive experience working in mental health, particularly with adolescents, young adults, and families. Much of my professional background has been in residential treatment, where I have supported individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, and family conflict.
One thing my experience has taught me is that behavior usually makes a lot more sense once we understand what is happening underneath it. I enjoy helping clients understand themselves better, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and find healthier ways to cope, communicate, and move forward.
I especially enjoy working with people who may have had a difficult experience with therapy in the past—or who aren't completely sure they want to be in therapy in the first place. You don't have to come in knowing exactly what you want to work on. We can figure that out together.
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner doctorally trained at the University of Utah, with eight years of mental healthcare experience including a year-long fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
I primarily work with children and teens, but also love meeting with young adults, parents, and fellow healthcare workers.
Outside of work, I love spending time in the mountains with my husband, son and very hyper dog.

Hello—I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I received my Master’s degree from the University of Utah in 2009. I deeply believe in the value of seeking support—because being human means navigating both grief and gratitude, often at the same time.
