I became a therapist because I have a deep commitment to helping people recognize and build their own strengths, especially during periods of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana and Texas, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I also hold a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Prevention Professional (LPP), and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
I am a doctoral-prepared nurse (DNP) and a dual-certified nurse practitioner (FNP-C/PMHNP-BC) with more than twenty years of nursing experience. I am great at combining my clinical skills with a holistic approach to patient care, with a goal of helping you feel understood and empowered. I am committed to improving patient outcomes through clear communication and care planning and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.
I specialize in supporting clients (Spanish & English) navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, and cultural or ethnic identity-related concerns. I am passionate about my profession. I enjoy teaching social work and providing social work services. I believe that social work is a calling and therefore, I am being called to serve.
