Hi, I’m Ashton, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for those seeking clarity, relief, and a sense of steadiness in their lives.

I have experience working with people navigating stress, relationship challenges, emotional ups and downs, and life transitions. I received my master degree from the University of Memphis in May 2009. I immediately started working with a variety of clientele. I have extensive experience with trauma related care, attachment trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse disorders, grief/bereavement and life transitions. I have worked in the community, in schools, worked with clients privately and worked with clients in therapeutic/recovery courts. I have experience with children, adolescents, and adults ranging from ages 5-80. I have three certifications in trauma informed care.

I’m a Fully U.S. Licensed Clinical Psychologist (TN, CO) supporting folks through Life’s Challenges with Compassion, Wisdom, Joy & Practical Care _ Work in Health, Wellness, Spirituality, Higher Education & Psychological Services for our US Military, School, Church, Business, Medical & Law Enforcement communities : USA and Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany).

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? When "Life is Lifing" as we say?? Many of the people that I meet and work with are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and/or management of traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I'm also a Mom of three and a dog Mom of two who likes to practice what I preach in my own life. As a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection, a lot of my focus is incorporating integrated health into our treatment approach. I also support an intimate hospice team in my area so I am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations about life.
