As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I believe every person deserves to be heard, understood, and treated as more than a diagnosis. I take the time to understand the whole person, considering the biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors that influence mental health. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, creating personalized treatment plans that support lasting wellness. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and confident throughout your mental health journey.
I’m warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in the people I work with. I want therapy to feel like a safe, comfortable conversation where you can show up exactly as you are—even on the days when you don’t quite know what to say.
I use empathy, honesty, and humor in my sessions, and I’m not afraid to be direct when I think it will help you grow. I’ll validate what you’re feeling, but I’ll also gently challenge you to look at patterns, consider different perspectives, and recognize the things that may be keeping you stuck. I’m not the kind of therapist who will simply nod for an hour while you do all the work.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My job is to listen, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and give you practical tools to create meaningful change. We can talk about the hard things, celebrate the wins, laugh when we need to, and work together toward helping you feel more like the person you want to be.
Seeking therapy is hard and all you want is to find the right therapy. I know I have experienced this myself when seeking therapy. I have been in practice 25 years. Through those years I have noticed I am an affective therapist with most clieints. For some clients I seem to be a great match. My goal is to help those seeking help, so if that journey is with me or another therapist I just havre deep empathy for those seeking therapy. I tend to work best with middle aged and eldery people. I have been effective working with adolescents and enjoy working with this population, I just find them more challenging. I have been somewhat effective in working with couples.
I grew up in rural PA working on my grandfather's potato farm, learning equine therapy benefits starting at age eight. I joined the food industry as a waitress and worked throughout my RN undergrad.
I began my nursing career after earning my BSN from IUP in 2015, stepping directly into the fast‐paced world of behavioral health care within emergency room settings. Those early years shaped my clinical foundation and deepened my commitment to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. I continued to grow, learning medicine, therapeutic communications skills, de-escalation techniques while working inpatient contracts at various facilities across PA, including child and adolescent units, adult and geriatric units, and correctional facility contracts.
Driven to expand efficient care through impact, I completed my MSN as a Psychiatric‐Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in November 2024. I initially provided inpatient hospital care, gaining valuable experiences in a new psychiatric treatment facility. As my career and family needs evolved, I discovered that remote psychiatric care offered the balance and flexibility that best supported both my professional goals and home life balance. My passion for farms, animals, and my large blended and busy family will help my clients see why I enjoy offering them a decade of behavioral health experience. With my advanced PMHNP training, I will deliver compassionate, accessible mental health support in a comfortable virtual setting.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in Oregon with advanced training from the University of California, San Francisco. My practice focuses on providing comprehensive, compassionate mental health care through a blend of medication management and evidence-based psychotherapy. I work with adults seeking support for a wide range of mental health concerns.
