I'm so glad you're here! I love working with new moms, helping them navigate the transition into their new role, and high achieving women who have learned to self silence and/or suppress their needs. Helping women navigate any of the challenging transitions of life (newly separated/divorced, new jobs, new relationship, college admission/graduation) is a real passion of mine!
If you have been feeling stuck and having difficulty with motivation or decision paralysis, I can help with that! If you have been struggling to experience joy, let's talk!

Life can be challenging, and you don't have to navigate it alone. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and encouraged. Whether you're facing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to walk alongside you as you build confidence, discover your strengths, and create positive change in your life.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with years of experience walking alongside individuals and families through some of life's most tender and difficult chapters — aging, illness, caregiving, grief, and major life transitions. I've worked across hospital, hospice, palliative care, dementia care, and community settings, and that breadth has taught me that every person's story is deeply unique.
I work to cultivate a space where clients feel understood, supported, and emotionally safe. I aim to help clients build clarity, confidence, and a deeper connection to themselves and their relationships.
My name is Shannon Murray and I have been in the field for 11 years. I am experienced working with individuals of all ages in the outpatient setting. I have specifically specialized in working with teens and young adults with eating disorders. I have generalized education from my Masters program in social work from the University of Maine guiding my work for individuals who also struggle with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflict.
I am the founder and owner or RKM Counseling. For the past 18 years I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, helping clients through both extremely challenging circumstances and daily struggles with life. In 2008, I obtained my Masters degree in Counseling from the #2 nationally ranked counseling program. I specialize in grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety and depression.
