I graduated from the Delhi School of Social Work, Delhi University, with a master's degree in social work. Since then I have aimed to help people achieve emotional well-being and live more fulfilling lives. I specialize in diverse and multi-cultural backgrounds.
I have dedicated most of my career to working in the healthcare and mental health industry, helping clients overcome life's many struggles.
I am trained to employ a variety of techniques, which include cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) for anxiety, depression, and other related disorders. I also have special interests in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and coaching. All of my techniques are compassion-focused, person-centered, solution-oriented, and strength-based therapies

I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals and families through behavioral health and substance use challenges. My approach is grounded in trauma‐informed care, cultural sensitivity, and meeting people exactly where they are. Find the right LGBTQ-friendly therapy provider for you
Headway makes it easier to connect with affirming therapists who understand your identity — from finding the right therapist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Jersey City
Finding an LGBTQIA+-affirming therapist in Jersey City starts with identifying a provider who has specific training or experience in identity-affirming care — not just someone who lists it as a checkbox. Look for a licensed provider (such as an LCSW, LPC, psychologist, or psychiatrist) whose bio reflects familiarity with topics like coming out, gender identity, minority stress, relationship dynamics, or navigating family and cultural expectations. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their approach and background.
Jersey City is one of the most diverse cities in New Jersey, and the LGBTQIA+ community here spans a wide range of cultural backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. A provider who practices intersectional, culturally responsive care can make a meaningful difference. Many providers on Headway offer both virtual and in-person sessions, so you can choose what feels most comfortable — whether that's meeting face-to-face in your neighborhood or connecting from home.
Therapy in the Jersey City area can be expensive without insurance, but affordable options are available when you use in-network coverage. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. A free phone consultation is also available with many providers, so you can see if the fit feels right before committing to a session.
