My name is Sarah Cardenas. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) based in central Maryland, and the founder of Two Sparrows Counseling of Maryland. I primarily work with children ages 5 and up, moms, and individuals navigating recovery from substance use, gambling, or other addictions.

I also offer Christian counseling for clients who would like to incorporate their faith into our work together.

As a mom myself, I know how important it is for kids to have the support they need to grow - and how easily moms' own needs get pushed to the back burner while they carry so much for everyone else. And having grown up in central Maryland, I've seen firsthand what addiction can do to a community. Helping people fight their way back from it isn't just professional work for me - it's personal calling.

Hi I'm Chadae, a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over 9 years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate some of life’s hardest moments. You already hold the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to help you access it. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, and bring a holistic, strengths-based approach to every session. I have been practicing therapy for about 5 years, receiving my master's degree from Saint Leo University in 2023 and my LCSW-C licensure in 2026. My main focus areas are complex trauma and attachment based issues, but I also am very effective at dealing with individuals with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Autism.

I worked in various inpatient mental health facilities, assisted individuals with learning disabilities, helped others with chronic illnesses, taught people ways to manage life traumas, and guided people who suffered with grief.
