John Scott Maddox is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health and addictive disease evaluation and treatment. He specializes in treating adult clients presenting with PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Scott looks forward to helping you on your journey to peace and serenity.

Scott completed his Master's degree in Counseling at Georgia State University, where he had previously completed his Bachelor's degree in Mental Health. Scott has provided clinical supervision, training, and continuing education for many aspiring counselors. He has been extensively trained in critical incident and stress management techniques for trauma victims.

I work with adolescent boys, teens, and adults who feel stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by emotional struggles and unhealthy patterns. Together, we focus on building confidence, emotional balance, healthy coping skills, and a stronger sense of purpose so you can feel more grounded, peaceful, and in control of your life and relationships.

My educational background is in both Clinical and Community Psychology. I conceptualize and intervene with clients with an understanding of individual and environmental contributing factors. Additionally, I have significant experiences working with people across the life span and in various settings. I bring this rich experience to my work with clients.

I'm JW "Cliff" Williams, I completed a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015. I'm a Licensed Counselor in Georgia and hold National Board Certification through NBCC. I'm also a Master Addiction Counselor. My theoretical orientation combines elements of REBT, Reality Therapy, and ACT. Clients have described me as "down to Earth" and I like that description. My goal is to help you learn and discover the things about YOU which are intensifying your emotional difficulties. My job is to help you identify the power and provide you with the tools to achieve your goals.
