I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with eight years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, and ADHD/ADD. I’m Karina Smith, LCSW, founder of Bloom Haven Therapeutic Services❀. I specialize in working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions related to relationships, career shifts, and family dynamics. I also support individuals experiencing the lasting impact of trauma or feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to break.

My work is grounded in EMDR, DBT-informed therapy, somatic approaches, CBT, and mindfulness-based practices. I’m also an advocate and serve on the PAIMI Council for Disability Rights Florida.

I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment.

I work with adults, young adults and children experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic interventions, and mindfulness to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and create lasting change.

My mission in therapy is to create a space where clients have the freedom to guide the work towards their goals with a collaborate partner who can assist in the self discovery process. I strive to make therapy feel loving and supportive by providing a place where you can start on the journey to connecting with your inner strength. Self care is important, and therapy is a courageous way to give yourself the care and support you deserve.

Oftentimes the beginning of any new journey can feel intimidating and overwhelming. Taking that first step toward something unknown can bring uncertainty, vulnerability, and discomfort. As your counselor, my goal is to meet you where you are, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe that healing and growth happen through genuine connection and collaboration. Together, we will identify realistic goals that align with your unique needs and values, while working at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
