My experience centers on supporting clients of all ages through a wide range of life challenges. Guided by a solution-focused perspective, I believe holistic healing is a foundational part of effective client care. I am trained in EMDR, a therapeutic modality that helps clients process trauma and other difficult life experiences that may interfere with personal growth, relationships, and mental health. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and other concerns that can make it difficult to feel grounded or move forward. I hold a master’s degree from Colorado Christian University and have received training in both play therapy and EMDR. I have also worked with clients experiencing dual diagnoses within the field of substance use disorders, which has deepened my understanding of the connection between emotional pain, coping, and healing.

You may look like you are holding everything together while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted underneath. I work with adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, co-occurring concerns, and difficult life transitions.

With 19 years of behavioral health experience, I bring extensive experience in addiction and recovery and am trained in EMDR through the Francine Shapiro EMDR Institute. I understand that people are more than a diagnosis and that the ways we learn to cope often make sense in the context of what we have lived through—even when those same patterns are no longer helping us today.

My style is warm, genuine, and direct. I offer a nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard while also doing meaningful work toward change. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I tailor therapy to your needs, goals, strengths, and readiness.

I offer IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS in Goodyear, Arizona, serving the West Valley, as well as virtual therapy throughout Arizona, Wisconsin, Colorado, Michigan, Florida, and New Jersey.

Dr. Jennifer Prada-Moreno obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Thomas University, where she attended on a full-ride scholarship for volleyball. She then went on to pursue her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University and graduated Cum Laude with honors. She is bilingual with English and Spanish.

She completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in crisis and trauma at Regent University while developing her dissertation on the impact of shame on trafficking survivors. Her clinical background has helped her fulfill multiple roles in the mental health and substance abuse field, including therapeutic and administrative/managerial work.

Her professional experience includes substance abuse treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, the Office of Refugee and Resettlement, Emergency Management from the Dept. of Homeland Security, day treatment programs, and the justice system.

Her expertise includes individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, marriage counseling, crisis interventions, trauma work, and various treatment modalities that allow her to help those seeking a life of sobriety.

I am Ramon Recio, a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with more than thirty years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s most difficult chapters. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and completed doctoral coursework in Counselor Education and Supervision. My career has spanned community mental health centers, hospital systems, and private practice in both New York City and the greater Tampa Bay area, including my current work as a Behavioral Health Psychotherapist at BayCare Behavioral Health, St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Over the years I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients: adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions; couples and families seeking to repair and strengthen their relationships; individuals in recovery from substance use; veterans; and people from culturally diverse backgrounds, including children with developmental challenges and their families. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I welcome clients who prefer to be served in either language.

Outside of credentials and titles, what I most want you to know is this: I am warm, energetic, and genuinely curious about the people I work with. I believe each person carries strengths that are often hidden beneath what they came to therapy to address, and a meaningful part of our work together will be uncovering and using those strengths. I also recognize that for many clients, spirituality, faith, or a personal sense of meaning is an important part of their lives.
