Just a few years ago, I was caught up in a cycle of self-doubt, shame, and failure. I was early on in adulthood, and already I felt completely worn out; I was convinced my life would end in ruins. Eventually, I was able to seek counseling, and this became a significant factor in helping me find a new sense of hope and freedom. I became a counselor out of a desire to share this gift with others. I aim to create a safe space where my clients can discover new hope on their journey. When you walk into my office, I want you to know that you are welcome here; you belong, and you matter.

I am a veteran with a tech background, and I have over 12 years of experience as a counselor. I went back to school in my 40's, so I bring a lifetime of practical experience to my work. I focus on getting to the heart of the matter with clients, while looking for perspective into what may have caused the problem, and tools for the future. We will meet in person most or all of the time - I find this to be more effective.

I bring warmth, humor, and clear guidance to therapy. Cognitive techniques help uncover how thoughts shape emotions and actions, while mindfulness fosters calm and focus. We’ll also explore your values to guide our work. Humor keeps things light, and directness ensures we stay on track. Together, we’ll work toward lasting growth and confidence.I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Wake Forest University.

I am a licensed therapist based in Golden, CO. I offer in person visits at my office in downtown Golden, which is a convenient distance from Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Edgewater, Westminster, and Denver’s Westside. I also offer remote sessions online. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor.

Prior to earning my BS in Psychology followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010, I graduated from CU Boulder in 1994 where I received my BA in English Literature. I look forward to assisting you with your counseling needs.
