I have wanted to be a therapist since I was twelve years old after seeing a guru use his expertise to connect with a troubled child who had only known how to push others away. Over twenty five years later, I'm privileged enough to have found my own niche, working with individual adults address the impacts of trauma, anxiety, and depression. My name is Shannon Hansen, MS, LMFT. I work with adult individuals, couples, and a variety of relational dynamics, offering a warm, compassionate yet unconventional therapy environment. In addition to teletherapy, I offer equine assisted psychotherapy and nature-based therapy for those who are wanting a more engaging therapeutic experience. I love offering a safe space to metaphorically, and literally, get messy in the deep dive of gaining a better understanding of the human experience. With the support of myself, the animals, and many other beings of the natural world, together we will dive in and emerge with the resources and understanding that will help you thrive in life and relationships.

Growing up neurodivergent, I knew my life purpose was to learn to navigate a world that wasn't meant for me and to help others do the same. As a therapist, former teacher, & crisis responder, I understand what it takes to navigate toxic stress in a world that wasn't built for your brain or nervous system. I had a period as a young adult in which I was disabled by neurodivergent burnout and had to reshape my entire life trajectory. I had a therapist that truly saw me - it was the support I needed to create my future self. Today, that same passion drives my clinical work. You are not broken, and your adaptations make complete sense given what you’ve been through.

I earned a BA in Psychology/Human Services, went on for an MSW and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2017. I have extensive experience as a school clinician, respite business owner, and non-profit director. I opened my therapy practice in 2019. ​ My practice focuses on supporting neurodivergent and gifted teens and adults, women, LGBTQ+/ENBY/Trans*, and BIPOC folks facing burnout, trauma, grief and major life pivots. Whether you are processing trauma, recovering from betrayal, navigating divorce, parenting, facing loss, health changes, or untangling the burnout of masking or people-pleasing, our work centers on helping you drop the mask, establish meaningful boundaries, and step into grounded self-worth. I have over 20 years of experience, I have extensive experience and training in the treatment of- anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, divorce, parenting issues, adoption, LGBT issues, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, solutions focused therapy, pilot/aviation specific concerns, spiritually inclusive practice, perimenopausal/menopausal support and more!

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She earned her degree from the Graduate School of Social Work at DU with a clinical focus in family systems and a graduate certificate in interpersonal trauma studies.

Sarah is certified as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist through Postpartum Support International and has completed a fellowship at the Irving Harris Program for Infant Mental Health and Early Childhood Development through University of Colorado's Department of Psychiatry. In addition to her specialty training, Sarah works with a diverse clientele experiencing a variety of issues, including mood disorders, life transitions, relationship concerns and grief/loss issues.

Sarah is trained in Brainspotting and has successfully integrated this modality into her practice for clients experiencing anxiety, bereavement, perinatal/reproductive trauma, OCD, and PTSD, including treatment for first responders and their families. As a spouse of a firefighter, Sarah has unique insight into the demands placed upon emergency responders and their loved ones.

Hello! Nice to meet you! I am a board-certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in child/teen therapy and improving family communication. I enjoy helping people look at challenges in different ways. I am a member of a certified therapy dog team with my Corgi, Olive. I am also a Global Career Development Facilitator and enjoy coaching people through transitions.

I specialize in treating anxiety and depression, especially during the peripartum period. I focus on tools and strategies that help you create a meaningful life in spite of the struggle.

I am a clinical social worker/psychotherapist with 15 years of experience working in various mental healthcare settings. My post graduate training has primarily focused in the areas of trauma (developmental as well as medical) as well as perinatal mental health.
