If you are struggling with ADHD and/or symptoms of anxiety or depression or are dealing with difficult relationship issues or life transitions, I could be the therapist for you.
I’m an LMFT from Guam, currently residing in Los Angeles, and I specialize in all things relationship(s)! Whether you’re navigating a romantic relationship, family dynamics, friendships, or your relationship with yourself, I’m interested in understanding what’s happening beneath the surface. My work is grounded in understanding how our past experiences shape the way we see ourselves, the world, and—most importantly—how we connect with others. Together, we can explore the patterns you’ve developed, where they came from, and whether they’re still serving you today.
Hi, I’m Lisa Bove, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and also a non-judgmental Christian minister based in Southern California. With nearly three decades of experience, I’m here to support individuals from all walks of life, including those in the LGBTQI+ community, as they navigate the challenges of grief, anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship struggles. I also specialize in end of life issues. I know how difficult it can be to reach out, but I’m committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel truly heard and supported.
It's difficult to find someone who gets you. I get it, I've been a client looking for a therapist. When talk therapy hasn't worked how you'd hoped, that's when you can consider a therapy like Somatic, EMDR, or ERP. I can help you with any of these issues. I am a highly effective therapist that also has out of network options for intensives. If you are using insurance and have CPTSD, PTSD, or OCD, we can only meet in the 1 hr format. I have extensive EMDR experience.
I have my MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and BA from Concordia University, Irvine. I am a later career change and have extensive experience in the creative and tech industries.
I often work with women in Perimenopause to menopause, but have worked with men as well. The attributes of clients who find me are usually ready to change and have tried everything. I find they find the right therapist, at the right time, with the right type of therapy and it changes their lives. You can see more in my google reviews.
I know pretty quickly if we are a match and I won't waste your time, I know the people I can help, and if you want that kind of care, and hate traditional talk therapy, I am your therapist. Reach out to see if we are a match.
With 10 years of dedicated practice, I am deeply passionate about my work as a therapist. As a therapist, I approach each individual with an open mind, compassion, and a commitment to empowerment and holistic well-being.

I see therapy as a collaborative effort where clients are "driving" while I help them navigate the terrain ahead. We look into the past to inform the way forward - making sense of what was to allow you access to an expanded sense of self. We work to cultivate self-compassion and self-awareness so that you can be best informed on which direction you'd like to go in life. Let's work together toward your goals!
I bring education, experience and significant life experience to my work as a therapist. I have been a wife, a working mother of four children, and a caregiver to aging parents. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and self-esteem issues. My approach is client-centered, creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to create lasting, positive changes in your life.
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own personal experiences and my interests in human behavior, attachment theory, and social justice. My nearly six years of experience working in community mental health have strongly influenced my therapeutic lens. I am LGBTQIA+-affirming, committed to working from an antiracist lens, and deeply value inclusivity of all kinds. I have been fortunate enough to serve a socioculturally diverse population, including adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, undocumented individuals, survivors of trauma, LGBTQ+ folks, and differently-abled children and adolescents.
I am passionate about helping others along their journey to achieve healing, growth, and balance. I know firsthand that life can often take us down unexpected roads that might feel extremely scary, intense, and at other times, exciting. I also know that there is infinite power and resilience that comes from seeking help, leaning in, and doing the work that helps us cope during the difficult times and feel grounded once again.
