It's not easy starting therapy and investing time in yourself, but you've already done the first step! My experience has primarily been focused in clients with eating disorders and co-occurring diagnoses. Hi, I'm Eevee. (Yep, like the Pokémon, lol) I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your whole self, knowing that your experiences, identities, values, culture, and strengths will be respected and welcomed.
As a Black, LGBTQ+ identified, gender-nonconforming therapist, my own lived experiences have shaped how I understand identity, belonging, authenticity, community, and the ways our environments can influence our well-being. These experiences inform my commitment to providing culturally responsive care and creating a therapeutic space where you don't have to hide or minimize important parts of who you are.
My work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that people have an incredible capacity for growth. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity, stress, and other experiences that can make life feel difficult or disconnected.
At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy: I am less interested in helping you simply get through life. I want to support you as you Grow Through Life—developing greater understanding, skills, courage, and connection along the way.
I have extensive experience working with families—including both birth and foster families—involved in DCS care, as well as individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and grief. Through this work, I have supported clients in managing complex family dynamics, coping with loss and transition, and building skills to support long-term stability and well-being.
Most recently, I worked in a primary care setting, where I gained a deeper understanding of the connection between physical and mental health. This experience has strengthened my awareness of how chronic health conditions can impact emotional well-being, stress levels, and overall quality of life. I integrate this perspective into my work, helping clients address both the emotional and practical aspects of living with ongoing health challenges.
