I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience, including ED psychiatric crisis care and extensive work with geriatric patients with dementia and their families. I provide behavioral health evaluation, crisis-focused intervention, emotional regulation support, and structured therapeutic exercises for children, teens, adults, and caregivers. My focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, insomnia, emotional eating, and behavioral patterns affecting weight and functioning.
I do not provide medication management, but I refer patients to prescribing providers and offer clinical recommendations to support continuity of care. My approach centers on assessment, stabilization, and practical behavioral strategies that patients continue at home to reinforce healing.
Thank you, Shannon Lewis, PMHNP-BC, DNP
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 14 years of experience helping people navigate some of life's most challenging moments. My background spans addiction recovery, the LGBTQ+ community, and the child welfare system, including working with foster and adoptive families. As both a member of the LGBTQ+ community and an adoptive and former foster parent myself, these aren't just areas of clinical expertise -- they're deeply personal to me. I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult emotions, or major life changes, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping individuals facing mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, personality disorders, and other life challenges. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montevallo and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. My practice, Elpida Counseling, LLC, takes its name from the Greek word for “hope”—because I believe hope can exist even during the seasons when it feels hardest to find.
I speak Haitian Creole!
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 15 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage! I am here to support you in that process.
My focus is to help individuals and families build resiliency to heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to connect you with simple strategies that would assist you with achieving your full potential.
Maybe you have been holding it together at work while quietly coming apart at home. Maybe your teenager has changed in ways you do not understand and you are out of ideas. Maybe you have reached a season where the strategies that carried you this far have simply stopped working. I am Claudia Arns-Hall, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama, and I treat each client as if they were my only client. I came to counseling as a second career. For more than twenty years I worked in human resources, training, and leadership development for organizations including State Street, Revlon, and Southern Company, and I served as a human resources director before making the change. Because I felt a calling in my life to assist others, I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and I also hold an M.S. from Lesley University and a B.S. in Business Administration. For the past four years I have worked at Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services, first as a therapist on the Acute Adult Unit and Patient Intensive Care Unit and now as Clinical Coordinator for the acute unit, where I also train and mentor newer therapists. That is emergency-room-paced behavioral health work, which means very little you bring me will be unfamiliar and none of it will shock me. I have served both adults and adolescents. If you want someone thorough, involved, and genuinely focused on your individual situation rather than on a protocol, that is what I offer.
As a Dual Board Certified Psychiatric and Family Health Nurse Practitioner, I focus on bridging the gap between the body and the mind.
Hi Y'all! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing for over 21 years. I am specially trained in co-occurring disorders of substance and mental health diagnoses. I love all people and want to help as many people as possible, to heal and move forward towards a healthier happier life. I hope to work with you soon!
Clients should know that I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every session. I specialize in working with neurodiverse individuals, people managing anxiety or depression, and those navigating major life transitions. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning I value your voice in the process and tailor our work together to your unique goals.
I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself without judgment. My role is to listen, guide, and equip you with tools that promote resilience, self-awareness, and growth. I also understand the importance of balancing mental health with real-life challenges like school, work, and relationships, and I integrate practical strategies to help you thrive in each area.
Most importantly, I want clients to know that they are not alone. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on both healing and building the confidence to move forward.
I believe healing is a personal journey, and no two paths look the same. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, support, and practical guidance as you navigate life's challenges, reconnect with yourself, and create lasting, meaningful change. I work with adults through various seasons of change including midlife, pressures of the sandwich generation, dealing with trauma, and relationship/communication challenges, anxiety and depression. I believe these seasons, while often difficult, can also become opportunities for healing, growth, and discovering a renewed sense of purpose.
