My goal is to provide warmth, comfort, and understanding as we work collaboratively through your therapeutic experience. While being licensed in MD, VA, and DC, I am here to help you on your mental health journey.

I am Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) trained in medication management and individual therapy. I approach my work caring about the whole person and not simply treating diagnoses. I am aided by knowledge gained from my education: Bachelor's of Science in Sociology, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and Master's of Science in Nursing. I also draw from my 11 year career as a registered nurse in intensive care units and my 3 years as a Nurse Practitioner, working at an outpatient clinic as well as an inpatient crisis unit.

More recently, my work has been primarily with perinatal mothers experiencing depression, anxiety and social isolation. Dr. Ifeoma (Ify) Elebo is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. My approach is to empower the individual through a holistic problem-solving process. My focus areas include Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Substance abuse.

With over 17 years of experience in the counseling field in various settings, I bring much clinical expertise, professionalism, and soft skills to help them achieve improved mental health. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, life challenges , and even relationship challenges. I have over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of clinical settings since obtaining my Master's degree and becoming a licensed clinician. I use a client centered approach that draws from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and a trauma-informed approach. I have worked with people struggling with addictions, a wide variety of anxiety related difficulties, ADHD, depression, and some bodily focused repetitive behaviors. I also have experience working with couples to address relationship needs.
