I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 5 years of diverse nursing experience in critical care, acute care, neurology, telemetry, emergency care, and psychiatric and behavioral health care. My background is further strengthened by solid psychiatric training and experience caring for individuals with diverse mental health diagnoses across the lifespan. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. I am also currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Arkansas State University. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
I received both my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been in private practice for more than 10 years. Prior to private practice, my career began as an inpatient therapist on locked units at psychiatric facilities Cambridge Hospital (currently Sun Behavioral Hospital) and West Oaks Hospital. In addition to my inpatient work at West Oaks Hospital, I was a group facilitator with both adolescents and adults for the outpatient extension of the hospital: The Excel Center. My work at The Excel Center involved daily group therapy in both the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Because of my work with the acute psychiatric population in intensive treatment settings, I am able to work as a generalist practitioner. I work with most issue from depression, anxiety, and OCD to trauma, addiction and relationships struggles... just to name a few.
For those who value efficiency. My approach is direct, strategic, and results-driven.
You are driven, smart, and successful. Something is keeping you stuck. Let’s investigate and make real progress. I work a little differently. Direct feedback, thoughtful goals, and therapy that is intentional, not endless.
I have over 24 years of experience working with all different age groups and diagnoses. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma to include military, veteran and first responder related experiences. I have years of experience working with PTSD, moral injury and survivor's guilt.
Healing begins the moment you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you as an active partner in your mental health journey.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in comprehensive, lifespan mental health care. My clinical approach blends rigorous scientific precision with a deeply empathetic, collaborative philosophy, ensuring you feel empowered rather than just a diagnosis.
Experienced across the entire lifespan, I treat children, adolescents, adults, and seniors (ages 4+). I provide evidence-based, specialized care for:
- ADHD Across the Lifespan: Supporting executive functioning and emotional regulation from childhood through adulthood.
- Anxiety & Depressive Disorders: Managing generalized anxiety, panic, and major depression.
- Mood & Psychotic Disorders: Utilizing modern clinical strategies for Bipolar disorder and complex mood shifts.
- Complex Presentations: Providing sensitive care for eating disorders, trauma histories, and personality-related behavior patterns.
Outside of psychiatry, I am an avid traveler and a passionate gardener. Tending to my roses daily is my favorite way to practice mindfulness and decompress, ensuring I return to my patients with a refreshed mind and renewed energy.
