Clients should know that I believe therapy works best when it is built on trust, honesty, and collaboration. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported while we work together toward meaningful change. As a counselor and Navy veteran, I value integrity, perseverance, and service to others. I also respect the role that personal values and faith can play in someone’s life and am comfortable incorporating those perspectives into counseling when it is important to the client.
This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.
