I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate in nursing, and I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, life transitions, neurodivergence, and the complicated stuff that doesn’t always fit neatly into a diagnostic box.

I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy. More than anything, I believe good mental health care starts with actually listening to you. I want to know what’s working, what isn’t, what you’ve already tried, and what you want your life to feel like.

In 1986, my journey in the field of human services began, fueled by a lifelong passion for helping others. Majoring in the Human Services concentration at high school laid the groundwork for my unwavering commitment to this mission.

Upon earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Science with a counseling specialty, my formal training commenced in 2002. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience and expertise, working in diverse settings. Anxiety, stress, worry, uncertainty, addictions and fear don't have to define your life. With over 16 years of clinical experience, I help individuals, couples, and families identify the beliefs, thought patterns, and automatic behaviors that keep them feeling stuck.

I received my master degree from the University of Memphis in May 2009. I immediately started working with a variety of clientele. I have extensive experience with trauma related care, attachment trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse disorders, grief/bereavement and life transitions. I have worked in the community, in schools, worked with clients privately and worked with clients in therapeutic/recovery courts. I have experience with children, adolescents, and adults ranging from ages 5-80. I have three certifications in trauma informed care.

My name is LaDarrius, and I am an LPC-MHSP licensed in the state of TN. I have worked with a variety of people struggling with mental health. I am dedicated when it comes to supporting you and moving forward. I have come to realize that we all need some support as we face struggles and challenging situations. In order further support the best way I can, I have furthered my education by attaining my masters in clinical mental health counseling. Regardless of what you are dealing with, I aim to provide a warm and safe space that allows you to process and get through anything. I am an individual counseling with over 12 years of experience at the Post-Graduate level. I specialize in working with adults and have experience with many clinical settings, including In-patient care, community mental health and private practice. I also provide Clinical Supervision for counselors that are on track to become licensed in the state of Tennessee.

With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma (including first responders), aging-related concerns, and members of the agricultural and farming communities.
