Many of the people that I meet and work with are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and/or management of traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I'm also a Mom of three and a dog Mom of two who likes to practice what I preach in my own life. As a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection, a lot of my focus is incorporating integrated health into our treatment approach. I also support an intimate hospice team in my area so I am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations about life. I received my master degree from the University of Memphis in May 2009. I immediately started working with a variety of clientele. I have extensive experience with trauma related care, attachment trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse disorders, grief/bereavement and life transitions. I have worked in the community, in schools, worked with clients privately and worked with clients in therapeutic/recovery courts. I have experience with children, adolescents, and adults ranging from ages 5-80. I have three certifications in trauma informed care.

Dr. Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 40 years of experience in counseling individuals and families. She specializes in various areas of psychotherapy in including – Christian focused, Trauma focused, Addiction and recovery, Veteran PTSD and Military sexual trauma, depression/anxiety/bipolar disorder, Grief and victims of abuse.
