My education includes a PhD in Human Ecology and Public Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from East Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am a licensed mental health therapist with experience providing services to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. My professional background includes working with individuals experiencing trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, utilizing evidence-based and client-centered approaches to support emotional wellness, resilience, and personal growth. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of South Carolina and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. I currently hold professional mental health counseling licenses in both South Carolina and North Carolina, allowing me to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and effective mental health services to diverse populations.
I earned my BSN from Duke University in 2014, my Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree from Gonzaga University in 2017, and my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2020. I also completed a Plant-Based Nutrition certification through Cornell University. My background spans both community and mental health care, including experience at a large community health center in Washington, DC, where I worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances.
