I believe mental health treatment should feel collaborative, respectful, and empowering. My goal is to create a safe, stigma-free space where you feel heard and supported. I value shared decision-making, open communication, and individualized care plans that reflect your unique needs and strengths.
Above all, I am committed to helping you build resilience, restore balance, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I graduated from Simmons University with my Masters's Degree in Social Work in 2023. I have over 14 years of work and volunteer experience working with adolescents between the ages of 14-22 year olds. For the past 8 years, I have been working with young men between the ages of 13-21 in an alternative school setting. Over the last several years, I have taken a special interest in helping students navigate the emotional and logistical transition from high school into adulthood.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with extensive experience in trauma, grief and bereavement, hospice and palliative care, substance use, recovery, and major life transitions. I earned my Master of Social Work from Wheelock College, along with a Certificate in Medical Social Work, and later completed training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies. As a licensed mental health counselor and with over eighteen years of experience working in the field, I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I believe that healing begins when individuals feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My therapeutic style is warm, approachable, and collaborative, allowing clients to build trust and feel comfortable discussing even the most difficult aspects of their lives. I am highly empathetic and intuitive, with a keen ability to recognize both verbal and nonverbal communication. By paying close attention to body language, emotional patterns, and underlying themes, I help clients identify the root causes of their challenges and develop practical strategies for healing, resilience, and personal growth. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their unique experiences while helping them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I am at my best when I am a guide for others. I start by listening and developing understanding of who you are, what you value, and where you struggle. I will help you to find your way back to yourself and develop the trust you need in yourself to live your best life. I use an approach that is very collaborative offering tools and resources, but assisting you to choose your own direction.
We all struggle at times, especially in the way we live these days. I can help you understand how and why you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and develop strategies to move through this to a happier, more grounded, and more confident version of yourself.
Mental health is nothing to "work on later" or neglect. This is the place you can be vulnerable, emotional and free of judgement. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient.
