I have worked with individuals and families with a particular emphasis on crisis intervention and the impact of mental illness on the family system. My experiences have included assisting clients learn to manage mood disorders and anxiety and learn skills related to anger management, healthy relationships, parenting and boundary setting. I have extensive experience assisting individuals within the correctional system with learning skills needed for successful reentry into the community.

As a Doctor in Nursing Practice, I have been in healthcare for over ten years, which has prepared me to manage my patients with evidence-based treatment modalities. I bring compassion and commitment to my practice of caring for the holistic needs of my patients, which entails a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the patient’s psychological, emotional, and physical well-being, also creating a plan of care that will optimize a favorable outcome in a realistic, goal-oriented length of time, with the patient’s buy-in.

I am a psychotherapist with over 8 years of experience in the counseling field. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. I have experience treating a wide range of complex clinical concerns including mood, anxiety, psychotic, trauma related, and personality disorders. I also have an extensive history of treating addiction related issues and a strong understanding of 12-step recovery.

I am objective as it applies to one’s life.
