I'm a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in both general psychiatry and addiction medicine. My background spans a wide range of mental health conditions — from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and substance use — and I bring a deeply holistic perspective to every patient I work with. I offer telehealth care with flexible scheduling, including early morning appointments starting at 7:30am for those who need care before their workday begins.
I received my medical education in Paris, France.
I arrived in the US in 1982 and completed my psychiatric residency at Temple University Hospital, in Philadelphia in 1989.
IN 2010, I completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship in Portland, Oregon.
I have worked as a staff psychiatrist within the Maryland state mental health system for 23 years.
I am working with patients suffering from general mental illness and patients suffering from substance abuse.
I have worked with substance abuse clients since 1992 when I created a treatment program at Crownsville Hospital, in Crownsville. More recently I have been working with clients receiving buprenorphine (Suboxone) for the treatment of opioid use disorder.

Let's talk.
I provide compassionate counseling that supports and fosters healthy mental wellbeing. I believe in the holistic approach to empower individuals on their journey to a healthy life balance, particularly those who have experienced trauma, as we are committed to fostering personal growth and healing.
I believe there is no one "right" way for therapy and healing, so I offer multiple pathways—talking, movement, art-making, and body-based practices, like EMDR and somatic therapies. Working together we will find what works for you.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University and All but Dissertation (ABD) status in the Clinical Doctorate of Social Work program at the University of Pennsylvania. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, I bring extensive expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, developmental disorders, substance use, and trauma-related concerns. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and hold certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT).
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based, individualized interventions, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am also trained in Social Thinking, Unstuck and On Target, and the PEERS curriculum. My areas of clinical expertise include supporting individuals in developing emotional regulation, cognitive and behavioral flexibility, executive functioning, and social-pragmatic skills. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, judgement free therapy space.

Hi there, I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with several years of experience supporting individuals through emotional healing, self-discovery, and meaningful life transitions. My background includes working in both clinical and community-based settings, where I’ve supported adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life changes.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also a special education paraprofessional in the Montgomery County Public School system, where I have experience working with elementary- and adolescent-aged students. This role has deepened my understanding of child and adolescent development, learning differences, emotional regulation, and the unique challenges young people and their families often face.
I take a compassionate, relational, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. I integrate evidence-based practices with mindfulness, insight-oriented work, and practical coping tools, always tailoring treatment to each client’s unique history and goals. I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and human, not clinical or judgmental.
As a therapist, I value honesty, warmth, and emotional depth. I work best with clients who want to better understand themselves, strengthen boundaries, heal old wounds, and build healthier relationships with others and with themselves. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned in your life.
