I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in helping adults break free from long-standing emotional and relational patterns that keep them stuck in anxiety, disconnection, or self-doubt. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens not just through insight, but through learning how to feel safe, regulated, and connected both within yourself and in relationship with others.

I earned My Master’s degree in Social Work and is clinically trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS – Level 1), EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic-Based Practices, Ketamine Assisted Therapy, Psychedelics Integration, and Narrative Therapy. I integrate trauma-informed, nervous-system-focused approaches to help clients move beyond coping and into meaningful, embodied change. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and direct, supporting clients in developing self-trust while gently challenging patterns that no longer serve them.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked extensively in the health and wellness field, including roles in movement, bodywork, and mind-body practices. This background strongly informs my holistic approach to therapy and understanding of how emotional experiences are stored and expressed in the body. I pay close attention to how stress, trauma, and attachment wounds show up not just in thoughts, but in physical sensations, behaviors, and relationship dynamics.

In therapy, I help clients build emotional resilience, strengthen communication skills, and develop the capacity to stay grounded during uncomfortable or vulnerable moments. My goal is not to “fix” clients, but to help them understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and create relationships and lives that feel aligned, fulfilling, and sustainable.

I'm Baruch Glazer, an LCSW specializing in depth-oriented therapy with young adults navigating authenticity, meaning, and identity.

My Journey

I struggled with anxiety and depression for years before I discovered therapy. What changed everything wasn't symptom management—it was depth. Learning to actually understand myself, to sit with discomfort instead of optimize it away, to accept myself differently. That depth-oriented work didn't just ease my symptoms. It helped me become someone I'm proud of.

That experience fundamentally shapes how I work with clients.

Find the right couples therapist for you

Headway makes it easy to find support for your relationship — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Couples Therapist in Baltimore, MD

Searching for couples therapists in Baltimore starts with clarifying what you and your partner want to work on. Couples therapy may focus on communication patterns, recurring conflict, trust after infidelity, major life transitions, parenting disagreements, or intimacy concerns. Not every therapist has specific training in couples work, so it helps to look for licensed marriage and family therapists or therapists who list couples modalities such as the Gottman Method or emotionally focused therapy. A therapist’s profile can also show how they structure sessions and what kinds of relationship concerns they commonly support.

Baltimore has many therapy options across neighborhoods like Canton, Hampden, Federal Hill, and Mount Vernon, and that range can make it harder to narrow the search. For couples counseling in Baltimore, the right fit needs to work for both partners’ schedules, commute preferences, and appointment format. Some couples prefer meeting in an office, while others choose virtual sessions to make scheduling easier from separate locations. As you compare therapists, look for appointment availability, whether they are accepting new patients, and whether they offer a brief initial consultation to assess fit for couples specifically.

Couples therapy in Baltimore can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before booking. Headway helps you find Baltimore couples counseling, marriage counseling, and relationship counseling options that match your preferences. Nationally, Headway partners with a wide range of insurance plans, and you can confirm coverage for your specific plan on Headway before booking. You can review therapist bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.

If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
