Hello there I am Debbie and I have been working in the counseling field for over 16 years and practicing as a licensed clinical therapist the last 10 years. My goal has always been to provide my clients with supportive non bias/judgement free environment to work on developing strength based and client center focused goals! I have made it my mission in life to help each and every client become the best version of themselves they possibly can be! I am over the moon about the results I have seen over the years with my clients. I hope to continue helping everyone I work with to find their path to happiness healing and security through our time together!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am dedicated to helping individuals who are struggling with mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, addiction, and mood disorders. I offer psychiatric medication management and am knowledgable in various psychotherapy and interventional treatments (such as Spravato, TMS, and IV Kematine) to support your unique needs.

I have a masters degree from Indiana Wesleyan University with 7 years experience working at various levels of psychiatric care including inpatient, detox, residential, IOP, PHP, and outpatient. Additionally, I have 10 years medical surgical experience to the hospital setting, providing experience with various medical conditions as well.

I have over 8 1/2 years of experience helping adults, children, and families learn how to heal and grow from dysfunction, trauma, addiction, and mental health issues of all kinds. I have worked with people from ages 3-80 years old so I have a multitude of experiences with all kinds of mental health issues including (trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, LGBTQIA+ related issues, and more). I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked in community mental health and online.

A few things about me outside of therapy: I have three children, so I understand that life can be beautifully chaotic. I’m a real person, not a therapist robot. I’ll bring authenticity into our work together.

I work with adolescents and adults across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship and family challenges, grief, and major life transitions. Most importantly, you don’t have to impress me. You don’t have to have the perfect answers or know exactly what you want to say. Therapy can be a place to better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop healthier ways to move forward. My name is Sarah. I am excited to get to know you! I am a board certified LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). I have primarily worked in a community mental health setting, which has given me a very diversified experience. I am an animal lover, a coach, a mom, and a devoted partner. I am a member of the LGBT+ community. I work with people of all ages and believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their best self.

I love helping others overcome mental obstacles to allow them to reach their goals. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and use it as a catalyst for positive change. I have over 8 years of experience in private practice and have helped people through a wide range of issues. I have unique experience in sport and performance psychology. I have two post undergraduate degrees in mental health counseling from Indiana University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Butler University. I bring my knowledge, experience, and value system to each of my clients.

I started Fort Wayne Mental Health with the goal of providing high quality counseling services in the Fort Wayne area. I have a deep passion for helping clients through some of life’s hardest experiences, including trauma, addiction, and relationship struggles in addition to everyday challenges like anxiety, depression, and stress.
