Hey there. My name is Dr. Lord, but feel free to call me Jeridith. I am a behaviorally based clinical counselor, which means we are really going to focus on the behaviors that are keeping you in an unhappy place and how to change them. I specialize in working with survivors or trauma, individuals working through addiction, and military families.

At the heart of my practice is a genuine desire to help people grow. I believe every person has the ability to create a life that feels meaningful, connected, and aligned with their values. My role is to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, build new skills, and discover what’s possible for them. My style is warm, direct, and growth‐oriented.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago. I am married and have two adult children. I have been a registered nurse for 30 years, primarily in women’s health and psychology and psychiatry nursing. I became a clinical mental health counselor 5 years ago, graduated from Bradley University.

I know how important it is to feel safe, understood, and not rushed when you’re talking about difficult or painful experiences. I’m a thoughtful, down-to-earth therapist who values authenticity, trust, and genuine connection. My strengths-based approach is grounded in compassion and respect, and I aim to meet each person exactly where they are without judgment.
