Hi, I’m Elaine! I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with adults, couples, and military families navigating life’s ups and downs. I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and a Masters of Science in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling with an addendum of Crisis and Trauma Counseling.
Many of my clients come to me struggling with relationship challenges (like communication struggles, Parenting conflicts and infidelity), trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or depression—feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped to create the changes you want in your life
I earned a Masters degree from Northwest Nazarene University in clinical counseling in 2014. I am currently licensed in the state of Idaho and Montana. I have been licensed for many years and participated in many trainings for clinical practice including but not limited to Christian counseling, Rogerian therapy, trauma therapy, grief/loss, addiction (Social media, gambling, sexual, food, etc.), anxiety (general and specific), personality disorders, depression, relationship challenges, neuroscience, adoption and/or attachment, equine therapy, play therapy, family therapy and experiential therapy. I have been a TBRI® Practitioner since 2015 and TBRI® Educator since 2017 working with families with kids from hard places. I am trained in clinical supervision and clinical ethics as well. I am trained in the use of neurofeedback equipment including brain mapping and brain training sessions since 2021, and have been Board Certified through BCIA since 2025. With a strong foundation in both social work and law enforcement, I bring a compassionate, grounded, and practical perspective to therapy. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work and spent eight years in law enforcement, primarily working patrol. This experience gave me the opportunity to support individuals and families during some of the most challenging and vulnerable moments of their lives.
Through my professional work—and my own lived experiences with critical and traumatic incidents—I developed a deep commitment to helping others heal from trauma. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and work with individuals navigating life’s challenges, processing difficult past experiences, and building resilience for the future.
My approach blends clinical expertise with real-world understanding to create a space that is supportive, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I strive to ensure clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Whether you are working through trauma, adjusting to life transitions, or seeking healthier coping strategies, I aim to help you gain clarity, strengthen your inner resources, and move forward with confidence. I’m here to support you every step of the way on your path toward healing and personal growth.
I provide a non-judgemental space for all my clients conducive to their healing process.
