I am an author, professor as well as the founder of Hidden to Healing, LLC providing individual, couples and family counseling to those that are struggling with trauma, anxiety, overall life satisfaction, depression, aggression, grief, substance abuse, and behavioral and emotional issues.
I work with adolescents, adults, Veterans, and families navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress management, substance use, and emotional conflict.
I have a particular passion for supporting children and families healing from trauma and disrupted attachment. I have extensive experience providing attachment-focused therapy for adopted children, children in foster care, and their caregivers — working alongside families to strengthen emotional bonds, improve communication, build trust, and address behavioral concerns.
With more than 20 years of experience, I've worked across private practice, community-based mental health, managed care, substance abuse treatment, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I bring warmth and steady expertise to every stage of the healing process.

I have a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University. I received my master's in clinical mental health from Mercer as well. I have been in practice for almost 10 years in one capacity or another. I have my LPC in the state of Georgia.
