ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, and Relationship Issues

Great to meet you!

I am a licensed individual and family therapist with over 22 years of experience. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders (excessive worrying, intrusive/unwanted thoughts), depression (feeling unmotivated, sad, or stuck), ADHD, OCD, couples in conflict, and parent/child issues. I work best with individuals who are ready to do the emotional work and prefer a hands-on and action-oriented psychotherapeutic approach to promote change.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach treatment using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy which helps individuals to identify beliefs that lack value (beliefs that are negative and only serve to keep patients feeling hurt, fearful, and stuck); and I teach tools to decrease and manage negative emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I also employ cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to help patients better understand how their brain works so they can improve emotional regulation.

What you can expect from our first session

As a client, you can expect to have an increased understanding of how your brain works; and how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors evolve. The knowledge that you gain can be is a powerful catalyst for change. You can expect to learn tools and strategies to utilize daily to improve the quality of your emotional health and relationship experiences. You can expect to leave sessions feeling less stuck and, anxious. More importantly, you feel better emotionally.
