Beginning my practice decades ago as a combat trauma therapist, I have found myself dealing with the traumas of early life and relationships with most my adolescent and adult clients. I believe counseling can offer many “tools”, to cope, however, I prefer to help people heal so that coping becomes an infrequent need.

Hello and welcome! I’m a ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) License in GA, MD, and North Dakota. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. I hold a master’s degree in nursing with specialized training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management, as well as psychotherapy.

My practice focuses on treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, addiction recovery and perinatal mental health concerns. I integrate a client-centered approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive counseling, and lifestyle interventions alongside medication when appropriate.

I am a Masters-level therapist dual-licensed in clinical mental health counseling and addictions counseling in North Carolina and Georgia. I am a Level II Certified Attachment-Based Family Therapist and a Certified Adoption Competent Therapist. I am also certified in Natural Flow EMDR. I specialize in treating adolescents, young adults, parents, and families who are struggling with a variety of mental health symptoms and behavioral problems.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I am passionate about helping individuals heal from the wounds that continue to shape their present. I have 12 years’ experience counseling all backgrounds and ages including men, women, mothers, professionals, veterans, and teens who have dealt with anxiety, depression, addiction, family and career issues, etc. My clients often tell me that I have a unique way of explaining ideas and perspectives to them that makes it easy for them to understand and apply.
