Hi there! My name is Lonnie, and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board-Certified Master's Level Addiction Professional. I have worked with clients of all ages from various levels of outpatient treatment, detox, residential treatment, and inpatient treatment over the past 24 years. My specialties are your routine mood disorders (depression, anxiety, anger, & etc.), self-esteem issues, substance abuse, concentration matters, couples/marital problems, and family therapy matters.

I am experienced in addressing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma. I have assisted those with substance use challenges, and people simply ready to make some changes. I am a supportive, compassionate counselor and am ready to process your thoughts and feelings with you, to help you live the life you want to live.

As a licensed clinician, I focus on meeting with clients who suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and mood disorders. I also help those who just need someone to talk to about life stressors and life decisions. I believe in assisting clients in finding their internal strengths and overcoming stressors. I offer both telehealth and in person options for therapy sessions depending on which you would prefer.

I am a warm and empathetic individual that has specialties in addiction, men's issues, and grief. I have a Master in Mental Health from Keiser University and have been working in my specialties for the last 5 years.

Drawing from twenty years of experience in education and principal of therapeutic schools, I have developed the art of conflict resolution with reticent learners, with parents, with couples and individuals. I have the skillset to support people and transform their perceptions of self to cope with communication issues, anger, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma. My empathetic approach offers people to find positive and creative techniques. I am highly gifted in working to establish and enhance relationships between parent and child/husband and wife using conflict resolution to create opportunities. As a clinician of almost ten years, I interact exceedingly well with individuals and couples to support positive communication and achieve personal growth whether it be in a marriage, parenting/school skills, or within oneself. My understanding, compassion, and acceptance of people when they enter therapy create a safe and trusting environment to unpack problems and develop strategies that enhance well-being, stability, and alternative perspectives on how to address struggles/conflicts.

I work with adolescents and adults, and I am especially passionate about supporting you in deepening self-understanding, fostering harmony within yourself and in your relationships, and building a life that reflects your values and sense of purpose. I bring experience from many years of working in multiple levels of dual-diagnosis care. I have been a registered yoga teacher for 10 years, and enjoy incorporating mind–body practices into therapeutic work.
