Hi, my name is Richard Ehrhardt and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. I absolutely love what I do. I have a passion and drive to help others implement skills we will learn and get the results they desire. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including substance abuse/addictions, ADHD/HD, mens issues, anxiety/stress, relationship issues, and parenting concerns with children/teenagers.

With over 10 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I’ve supported individuals through some of the most challenging moments in their lives—including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in emergency medicine as a Registered Nurse, along with experience in outpatient psychiatry and interventional mental health treatment settings. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, stress, and treatment-resistant mood conditions.

Doctoral prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with more than 28 years of progressive experience spanning primary care, psychiatric mental health, nursing education, academic leadership, program administration, and healthcare quality improvement. Dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a proven record of managing complex patient populations, leading nursing programs, supporting accreditation initiatives, developing faculty, and advancing evidence-based practice.

Recognized for improving patient outcomes, strengthening nursing education programs, leading interdisciplinary teams, and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance organizational performance and regulatory compliance.

I am the founder of Nova Counseling Services, I have Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Pilar’s career began in child welfare and family reunification with the Department of Children and Families. With a focus on dual diagnosis and substance use treatment, she is a Certified Addiction Professional and a qualified supervisor for social work interns.
