If your child is dealing with big emotions, school stress, conflict at home, or the ups and downs that can come with ADHD, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, or depression, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I enjoy working with tweens, teens, and young adults, and I help families better understand what’s going on so things can feel less overwhelming and more manageable. My goal is to help your child feel more grounded, understood, and hopeful.
My two passions in life are being a therapist and traveling the world. I completed my master's in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I love working with all individuals who need the extra help during the hardest times of their lives. I have professional experience with all ages. I have experience with anxiety, depression, high risk, stress management, trauma and more. In my professional journey I have worked in various environments including inpatient and outpatient.
Psychiatry was not a specialty I happened to find along the way. From the time I entered college, I knew that mental health and substance use treatment were where I wanted my career to lead. I bring a decade of nursing experience to my practice, including critical care and extensive experience in psychiatric emergency and substance use settings. Much of my career has been spent working with people at some of the most difficult, vulnerable, and complicated points in their lives.
That experience has taught me that there is usually much more to a person’s story than what appears in a medical chart. Trauma, relationships, environment, setbacks, resilience, and the paths we take through life all matter. I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding that story, and not judging it.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use disorders, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. You can expect me to be straightforward, open-minded, and willing to listen. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being honest about where you are and what you’ve been through, without worrying that your past will define how you are treated.
Making the decision to seek mental health or substance use treatment can be one of the most difficult steps a person takes. I understand the courage it can require to ask for help, trust someone with your story, and begin making changes when you may not know exactly what comes next. I view your decision to sit across from me as a patient as a meaningful leap of faith, and I do not take that trust lightly.
Treatment is collaborative. We’ll look at where you are now, where you want to go, From there, we’ll develop a practical, evidence-based treatment plan that respects your preferences, circumstances, and life goals.

Find an expert who truly understands OCD
Headway helps you manage obsessive-compulsive disorder with expert-guided support — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing an OCD Therapist in Fort Myers
Finding OCD therapists in Fort Myers starts with looking for the right training and approach. Obsessive-compulsive disorder can involve intrusive thoughts, contamination fears, checking behaviors, rumination, or repeated rituals. Exposure and response prevention, often called ERP, is one therapy approach some clinicians use when supporting people with OCD, and not all therapists are trained in it. As you compare therapists, read their bios for direct mentions of OCD experience, ERP, cognitive behavioral therapy, and related concerns like anxiety or trauma.
Fort Myers has a smaller local therapist market than larger Florida cities, so virtual therapy can expand your options while still keeping care easy to schedule. Some people prefer an in-person office nearby, while others choose virtual sessions for more flexibility around work, school, or caregiving. When narrowing your search, look at whether a therapist is accepting new patients, has appointment times that fit your calendar, and offers a free phone consultation. A therapist who lists OCD as a specialty may have general experience, while one who names ERP training gives you a clearer signal about their approach.
Therapy in Fort Myers can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your session cost and understand what you may pay before you book. Headway helps you search for Fort Myers therapists who focus on OCD, view virtual and in-person availability, check estimated out-of-pocket costs, and book directly when you’re ready.
