I have over 30 years of direct clinical experience. I work remotely at this time, and blend cognitive behavioral techniques with psychodynamic techniques, including dream work (if interested). I work with adults with a wide range of challenges. I cannot make your anxiety disappear; however, I can help you change your relationship to it.
My name is Kimberley Roberts and I am a LCSW in the state of Colorado. I live in the mountains and love to spend time with my dog Salli and my two cats Tessa and Mowgli. I love the outdoors and hiking, kayaking and walking/jogging. I look forward to working with you.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my horses, and being with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and connected to what matters most in life. I value balance, authenticity, and meaningful relationships, and I bring those same values into my work with clients. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward their goals.
Sometimes the answers are there before we're able to see them.
There are times in life when you know something isn't working, but you aren't quite sure why—or what to do differently. Maybe you're struggling in a relationship, feeling disconnected from yourself, navigating changes in your family, or simply feeling stuck without being able to put your finger on what needs to change.
I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, become curious about what's happening beneath the surface, and begin to see possibilities that weren't visible before.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with
individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, family conflict, and experiences that may be affecting them in ways they don't yet fully understand. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what you need from therapy. Sometimes figuring that out is part of the work.
I believe healing happens in the context of safety and connection. Many of the people I work with are insightful, capable, and hard on themselves — often holding everything together on the outside while struggling internally. If that resonates, I want you to know that I see the strength it took to survive the way you did.
My work is grounded in the belief that you don’t need to be “fixed.” You may have learned to cope by staying busy, staying strong, or staying small — but those patterns made sense at one point. Together, we gently explore where they came from and whether they still serve you.
I also deeply respect the non-linear nature of healing. There is no deadline for becoming “better.” Growth unfolds differently for everyone, and part of our work is cultivating self-compassion along the way.
I love helping people develop skills to improve their lives, communication and relationships. It is important to know that one theory does not meet everyone’s needs, therefore I use many different approaches to helping my clients to build their own best version of themselves.
Hello, I'm Liz! I have over 5 years of experience working inpatient, outpatient, and varying levels of severity. I enjoy getting to know people and be an extra ear to their troubles. I can be sarcastic at times, and consider myself a person talking to people!
Author: WHY YOU DO THAT (amazon.com). I am a PhD level therapist with 2 masters degrees and 36 years of experience (I'm 74 years old). I wrote the book that helps people understand themselves, their relationships, and their past and present family functioning. I am licensed in both Colorado and Washington State. Areas: Individual/Couples/Family Therapy specializing in personality and behavior, difficult relationships and/or family functioning, stress, substance, depression, anxiety, etc. I was a licensed supervisor training other therapists for years in Texas. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I work with adults who want more from life, their relationships, or themselves but feel stuck getting there. I support adults navigating life transitions, stress or dissatisfaction with life, health or work, sleep concerns, communication and boundary issues, relationship challenges, and neurodivergence including ADHD and autism. I’m straightforward, relatable, and down to earth, with room for humor and honest conversation. As a naturalized U.S. citizen from Germany, I also bring personal understanding of adapting to a new culture and enjoy working with immigrants and first-generation Americans navigating life between cultures.
