Hi, I’m Shayna Weil, MA, LPC — a professional counselor based in Colorado. Since completing my Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University in 2020, I’ve been dedicated to supporting others through life’s ups and downs. I know how heavy the world can feel at times, and I also know how healing it can be to feel truly seen, heard, and connected.
What is your approach to therapy?I’m passionate about helping people grow, heal, and create more fulfilling lives. My approach is grounded in mindfulness, creativity, and practical skill-building to support lasting, meaningful change.
I primarily work with adults and understand how challenging it can be to unlearn old patterns from childhood. I bring patience, compassion, and trust in the process to every session, meeting clients where they are and walking with them at their own pace.
What can clients expect from their first session with you?In our first session, I’ll take time to listen to what brought you in and get a sense of what’s been feeling challenging or important for you lately. We’ll move at your pace, explore what you’d like to work on, and begin creating a plan together that feels supportive and realistic for your goals. My goal is to help you feel heard, comfortable, and hopeful about the path forward.
Our practice has experience with families and couples and works with individuals of all ages. We help with communication, conflict resolution, depression, anxiety, marriage, parenting, PTSD, substance use, etc. We do what we do because we love our work with our clients!
My goal is to provide you with a safe, emotional space where you will feel comfortable, relaxed and know that you are being heard. I want you to be able to express yourself freely without any fear of judgement. Healing takes place when you are able to be open, honest and vulnerable. Throughout my practice, it has been an honor to help facilitate extraordinary transformation in the lives of my clients. Believe me when I say that, “Anything is possible,” as I have witnessed my clients overcome trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and hardcore drug addiction.
Often, our feelings of shame, hurt and fear rob us of the opportunity to experience true joy and fulfillment in our lives. Do you find yourself running from these feelings or always fighting against them? Instead, I can help you embrace them and work through them. It is through this process of transformation where you learn to find acceptance, meaning
and purpose in your life. This leads to living with self-authenticity, and this is when you experience true joy and fulfillment. I look forward to being your catalyst for change. Together, we will take this journey and progress at your own pace. I encourage you to take the first step and make an appointment. Your life is worth it!
I am a veteran with a tech background, and I have over 12 years of experience as a counselor. I went back to school in my 40's, so I bring a lifetime of practical experience to my work. I focus on getting to the heart of the matter with clients, while looking for perspective into what may have caused the problem, and tools for the future. We will meet in person most or all of the time - I find this to be more effective.
I'm so glad you're ready to take action! Starting therapy is courageous. My goal is to walk alongside you and encourage you further. I consider my role as therapist an immense privilege, and seeing people grow and heal through therapy never gets old!
Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.
I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.
