I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I am here to help you dive into understanding not only how to grow in the present, but also what pieces have come together to create the person you are today. We don't exist in a vacuum, therefore I take a holistic approach that works with the confluence of mental, social, and cultural factors surrounding each individual.
One of the most difficult parts of therapy is choosing to begin. Congratulations for making it this far. I would be overjoyed to walk alongside you as you continue on this journey of growth and self-love.
Shannon is a trauma-informed therapist with a Master of Arts in mental health counseling with a concentration in addiction and offenders counseling from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has a Bachelor of Arts in applied psychology and a minor in criminal justice from Penn State University, Berks campus. Hi, I'm Caterina — an LCSW based in the Philadelphia area offering telehealth sessions to adults across Pennsylvania. My path to this work isn't typical: I spent years on the front lines of the opioid epidemic, supporting people through acute mental health crises and some of the most difficult chapters a person can face. That experience shaped me into a clinician who knows how to stay calm, stay present, and stay with you — even when things get hard.
I work with adults and seniors navigating anxiety, substance use and recovery, life transitions, health conditions, trauma, women's issues, and the kind of chronic stress that makes it hard to recognize yourself anymore. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I won't hand you a worksheet and call it therapy. I bring my full attention to every session — and I meet you exactly where you are, not where I think you should be.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with extensive experience in addiction recovery and mental health counseling. I combine evidence-based practices with a compassionate approach to help clients achieve lasting personal growth.
As a health services professional, I use a trauma-informed and culturally aware approach to assessment, treatment planning, and interventions. My background providing behavioral health services in schools, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, psychological services clinics, and outpatient mental health centers allows me to connect to clients with a variety of mental health needs.
I have been in the field for a little over 7 years. I enjoy helping others meet the goals they have for themselves. I have been licensed in the state of PA for 2 years, I am trained in trauma counseling and drug and alcohol counseling but I have worked with individuals who have day to day stress and those who have mental health disorders.
