Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating — especially if you’re afraid of being judged, misunderstood, or unsure whether therapy will actually help. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or like you’re barely holding things together on the outside, you’re not alone.
My approach is warm, direct, practical, and collaborative. I help clients not only process emotions, but also understand why certain patterns keep happening and how to create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we focus on building emotional awareness, healthier coping skills, nervous system regulation, and stronger relationships.
Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, attachment wounds, self-esteem issues, or difficulty managing intense emotions. I work to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to support you in your healing process.
I have been a nurse since 2009 and bring years of clinical experience and a deep commitment to healing and long-term wellness. My personal experiences—including overcoming challenges, navigating trauma, raising a family, and being a grandparent—have shaped my empathy and ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
My goal is to empower patients with the knowledge, support, and tools they need to build resilience, improve their mental health, and enhance their overall quality of life while honoring each individual’s unique story. You are not placed in a box; individualized treatment plans

Hi, I’m Stephenie Robinson, LPCC, founder of TheHairapist, and I believe healing is about caring for the whole person—not simply addressing a diagnosis. With a master’s degree in Counselor Education and experience in psychiatric and private practice settings, I provide affirming, empowering, and holistic care. I work with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, relationships, stress, and emotional wellness, with a particular passion for supporting women.
Therapy with me is a collaborative space where we can explore your experiences, understand patterns, and develop practical tools to help you create meaningful change. If you’re ready to better understand yourself, heal from what you’ve experienced, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity, I’d be honored to support you.
I received my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Xavier University in 2020, but have been working in the mental health field since 2016. My professional background in foster care treatment has helped me form a foundation for trauma treatment.
