Hi there, a little about myself. I am a clinical psychologist, husband, and Air Force Veteran. I graduated with my doctorate from Xavier University and completed my clinical psychology doctoral internship at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. I am passionate about helping individuals identify unique needs and strengths, and develop a personalized-plan to move you closer to where you want to be.
I am a dual-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a clinical background that spans psychiatry, addiction medicine, primary care, detoxification and recovery services, chronic pain management, and complex medical care. That range of experience has shaped the way I practice today: mental health concerns are rarely viewed in isolation, because emotional well-being, physical health, sleep, stress, relationships, medications, past experiences, and everyday life often influence one another.
I provide individualized psychiatric care for adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use disorders, sleep difficulties, mood changes, and other behavioral health concerns. Care may include comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of approaches based on your symptoms, history, preferences, and treatment goals.
My background includes years of caring for patients with overlapping psychiatric, medical, and substance-related conditions in outpatient, telehealth, detox, and residential treatment settings. I have experience managing psychotropic medications, providing medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders, evaluating safety and psychiatric risk, supporting patients through withdrawal and recovery, and collaborating with therapists, physicians, case managers, and other members of the treatment team when coordinated care is needed.
Before focusing more extensively on behavioral health, I spent years in chronic pain care, where I evaluated complex medical histories, reviewed diagnostic testing, managed chronic conditions, and worked closely with specialists and primary care teams. That experience continues to inform my psychiatric practice.
Hiya! Thank you so much for taking the time to patiently sift through many profiles to find me. Now that you're here, I will give you my best elevator speech. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and substance use - all the messy, complicated parts. Over 17 years, I’ve done everything from case management to clinical supervision at a community mental health agency and crisis intervention at a managed care company. As a biracial person (Filipina and Polish), I bring personal understanding to those navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and the feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere.
Hi, I'm Sara! I believe that connection is key to feeling less alone in this world. Getting curious about our past experiences and core values can help us to create a life that feels authentic and aligned with who we want to be. I enjoy supporting clients who are navigating life transitions, specifically the perinatal and postpartum periods. Additionally, I have specialized training in substance use disorders and have a heart for working with loved ones of those impacted by addiction to help restore balance, trust, and healing to the family system.
I am a clinical mental health and substance abuse, therapist, with licensures LPCC and LICDC, in the State of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Fisk University and my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. Hi, I am Joe, a licensed mental health therapist. I believe that people are capable of change, which is why I do what I do. It's understandable if you come to therapy feeling low and unmotivated. This is normal. Your first step in coming here is a big deal and not an easy decision or task. That right there is motivation. I believe in a collaborative approach and meeting you where you are in your life. I am not an expert on you, but we can work together to understand what is getting in the way of your goals and make plans to address these areas. I am here to help you figure out what needs to change and to guide you through the process of improving your mental health and growing as a person. I am a caring, open, and non-judgmental person, who loves cats, music, reading, and video games. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially around a bon fire.
I am Earlene Johnson, a licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio with a strong passion for Human Services and helping individuals create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
