I'm Ana — a bilingual LCSW who's spent the last six years working at the intersection of trauma, addiction, and mental health. I trained in South Florida and have worked in treatment centers in both Florida and Colorado, which means I've sat with people in some of their hardest moments and helped them find their way through. I work with adults and teens, in English and Spanish, and I bring a direct, warm, no-nonsense approach to every session. I'm not here to give you a script or tell you what you "should" feel — I'm here to help you actually figure things out.
I have a bachelor's of Arts Degree, double majoring in Social Services and Religious Studies, a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and the degree of Master of Social Work, from Cleveland State University.
I believe in a holistic approach to mental health. This means that all aspects of a person are included and considered in our work together. I assist those I work with in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:
Anxiety
Stress management
Depression
Grief and loss
Life transitions (including becoming an empty nester, divorce, retirement, aging with meaning)
Management of health issues (particularly pain and chronic health challenges)
Trauma (including religious trauma, sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder)
My name is Queen Watson (yes that's my real name) and I’m a Cincinnati, OH native. I attended The Ohio State University for my bachelor's degree in psychology and obtained my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati. As a Black therapist, I take pride in providing a safe space for individuals to address the impact of a system that villainizes those experiencing side effects of the human condition and directly challenge the stereotype of what therapists should look or act like. My ideal clients are adults experiencing or seeking: identify affirming care (i.e., LGBT+, BIPOC), ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, seeking stronger intra- and interpersonal relationships, intense anger, and mood disorders.
I am a non-binary human and a licensed psychotherapist in California, credentialed as an LPCC. I have an ongoing dedication to staying at the forefront of best practices and advocating for ethical and inclusive counseling standards. With a history of driving positive change and fostering growth, I hold my clients' growth in the highest regard.
I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004 and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000 and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.
My communication style
My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go
Actively certified in psychiatry and family practice supports my approach to integrated mental health care. I bring to you over 21 years of experience as an NP. Integrating the identification of mental health disorders and physical disorders such as low testosterone, hormone imbalance, thyroid disorders and vitamin deficiency are key steps to improve overall health. Focused care on the mind and bodies interconnected factors is my passion.
Clients should know that I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every session. I specialize in working with neurodiverse individuals, people managing anxiety or depression, and those navigating major life transitions. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning I value your voice in the process and tailor our work together to your unique goals.
I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself without judgment. My role is to listen, guide, and equip you with tools that promote resilience, self-awareness, and growth. I also understand the importance of balancing mental health with real-life challenges like school, work, and relationships, and I integrate practical strategies to help you thrive in each area.
Most importantly, I want clients to know that they are not alone. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on both healing and building the confidence to move forward.
