My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your mental health journey.
I believe that every person's story is unique, so I take the time to understand your concerns, symptoms, lifestyle, and treatment goals before developing an individualized care plan. I incorporate medication management with supportive counseling and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and Motivational Interviewing, to help you build practical coping skills and achieve lasting improvement.

My focus is on delivering personalized, compassionate care that supports meaningful, long-term success in both your mental health and daily life.
I am very appreciative of your time to review my profile, and excited to hear from you if this brief information creates an interest to learn more about me, and/or to begin the steps of working together. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys the diversity of working with individuals 18+, couples, and families. My work usually serves and offers support to those that are struggling with communication issues, stress/anxiety, trauma, and complex life issues. I seek to support those in need of culturally responsive and culturally sensitive services.
For the past eighteen years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, children, and families across both clinical and K–12 educational settings. My professional journey has included roles as a Professional School Counselor, 504 Coordinator/Learning Specialist, and Clinical Therapist, giving me a unique understanding of how emotional, cognitive, and learning needs intersect.
Over time, my view of mental health has expanded. I’ve always been interested in nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle as contributors to emotional wellness. But everything shifted when I began integrating mindfulness, contemplative practices, and a deeper exploration of hormone health—both personally and professionally. Understanding how hormones influence mood, stress, and cognition opened an entirely new dimension of care.
I now approach therapy through a whole-person lens that honors the connection between mind, body, hormones, and environment.
I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for over 10 years. I love meeting people where they are at and helping them get to where they want to be. I have found a lot of success with clients who are ready for change - signing up for therapy is the first step. If you are ready, let's begin.
Forest Floor Therapy is a neurodivergent and identity affirming therapy practice for adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. At a time when the weight of the world is so heavy, the Forest Floor offers us a space of stillness to slow down, take deep breaths, be seen, feel heard, and reconnect. I am also trained in WPATH Standards of Care and comfortable writing letters of support for those seeking identity affirming medical care.
I’m active and engaged in sessions. You can expect warmth, curiosity, and honesty, not a blank stare or a clipboard. Sometimes therapy here looks like slowing down and grounding. Sometimes it looks like learning new skills. Sometimes it looks like gently challenging old beliefs that no longer serve you. There’s room for humor, swearing, pauses, and figuring things out in real time.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as both an educator and hospital social worker, giving me firsthand insight into the pressures and challenges that often accompany helping professions. In addition to my clinical experience, I've spent many years serving in Christian ministry, an experience that continues to shape the compassion, perspective, and care that I bring to my work. As a therapist, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and life transitions.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Rochester, MN
Searching for therapists in Rochester starts with knowing what kind of support you want. A Rochester therapist may help with concerns like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or stress. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose listed specialties and approach match what you want to discuss. Reading bios can help you understand whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care.
In a smaller city like Rochester, local office options may be more limited than in larger metro areas. Virtual therapy can add more choice while still letting you work with a therapist licensed in Minnesota. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new clients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Profiles can also show how a therapist structures sessions, communicates, and approaches care.
Therapy in Rochester, MN can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated cost before you book. Headway helps you compare therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, review their profiles, and book directly when you’re ready.
