I refer to myself as "City Made" and "Country Raised." I'm a native of Baltimore, Md and spent time in NC. I am now a resident of Detroit, Michigan.

I earned a B.A. in Psychology. My graduate education led to an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I hold active licensures in Michigan, Ohio, and North Carolina. My experience includes licensures as a Clinical Supervisor in Substance Use & Addictions and an Independently Licensed Professional Counselor.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a deputy sheriff, firefighter, EMT, 911 dispatcher, and U.S. Navy Reserve member. That background shapes how I show up in sessions: direct, practical, and without judgment. I pursued counseling because I found I was genuinely good at helping people feel better, and I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and difficult life decisions. Hello. I would describe myself as being kind, caring and full of positive energy. I have 8years of experience working with substance abuse. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated with both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University. I have experience working in schools with middle school and high school. My preference is to work with co-occurring disorders (mental health diagnosis and substance abuse diagnosis).

I began my career working with children and quickly expanded my expertise to include adults and couples. Throughout my 26 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have seen the incredible power of the human spirit to overcome trauma and unexpected life struggles. Watching my clients transition from "surviving" to "thriving" remains the most inspiring part of my work.

I am a board-certified PMHNP with extensive experience in the field of mental health. With a comprehensive background spanning child and adult inpatient and outpatient settings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise into practice. Committed to providing holistic and compassionate care. I combine psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy to address the unique needs of each patient.
